Group Work
The key focus of our education group work programmes is to enable young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, to enable them to develop their voice and place in society.
Our approach is person-centered to encourage young people to develop their own values. The Youth Committee is responsible for making decisions and working with a budget to develop the project and activities. We want young people to be the heart of what we do.
We use a range of methods to explore issues that are affecting young people such as, internet safety, drugs and alcohol misuse, dealing with anxiety, body image, life skills and overall heath and well-being.
They learn to work together as a team, set themselves challenges, plan activities and socialise with friends. There is also an opportunity in the educational group work programme to gain a recognised qualification including; Youth Achievement, Arts Award, Dynamic Youth and Hi5 Awards, which enable us to support young people in important life transitions.
